COME AS YOU ARE is a joyful, intergenerational weekend of creativity, connection and self-expression, led by local artist Daniel Newell (@dandrogyny) in collaboration with Brophy Family & Youth Services alongside our amazing community partners. 💖 

​

Across playful workshops exploring makeup, costume, portrait-making, florals, décor and imaginative self-expression, LGBTQIA+ people and allies of all ages are invited to share stories, make together and connect beyond labels, age or expectation. 

​

This is a space to show up without explanation, to be loud or quiet, tender or camp, fruity or simply present. 🍓✨ We centre process over performance, creativity over perfection, and community care above all else. 

​

The weekend crescendos with a RED-CARPET FILM PREMIERE of “AM I ENOUGH” by First Nations queer artist Sam Morris, accompanied by short films, Q&A, performances, DJs and dancing, a celebration of storytelling, visibility and collective joy. 🎬💃

🌸 Highlights include: 
• LET’S FACE IT! – magical makeup & portrait play w/ @dandrogyny 
• WHAT MAKES A DIVA? – confidence, masks & strutting your stuff w/ @vivatheedrag & @vileproductionco 
• WEEDS ~ Flower Party – collective floral installation w/ @weeds_flowerstudio  
• J’DORE DÉCOR – transforming the space together w/ @ginny_murnane222222 
• AM I ENOUGH – red carpet film premiere & after-party w/ @vivatheedrag @vileproductionco
